Story summary Record of Ragnarok Season 2 continues to put mankind at risk. If the legendary Gods win more fights than the legendary human beings, then mankind will cease to exist. The anime series shows characters deploying various strategies and surprises, giving both camps the opportunity to surprise each other. It is a game of chess, but there’s an “underdog” story that runs through the script. We never expect humans to beat Gods. Without knowledge of the manga, I was somewhat surprised this battle was not condensed for the purpose of expanding this vast, open world where anyone can fight anyone. Hercules versus Jack the Ripper is entertaining, full of twists, turns, and back stories, but it does not leave much for the team behind Record of Ragnarok to play with for the remaining five episodes.
